Cookie Policy
Effective date: 28 September 2026
This page lists everything this website (www.awayclean.com) sets in your browser, and what the app (app.awayclean.com) does. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
1. What always loads on this website
The page itself — HTML, styling and the cookie-consent choice you make — always loads, regardless of your choice, because it's needed for the site to work:
| What | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
Your cookie choice (localStorage) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we don't ask every visit. | Strictly necessary |
| Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) | Loads the "Inter" typeface used across the site. This is a request to a third-party (Google) server for the font file. | Strictly necessary (functional) |
| Tailwind CDN script (cdn.tailwindcss.com) | Generates the page's styling in the browser. A third-party script request, no tracking. | Strictly necessary (functional) |
2. What only loads if you accept
These only load after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Reject" or close the banner without accepting, none of these load.
| What | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel | Meta (Facebook) | Marketing/advertising measurement — helps us understand which ads and posts lead to visits. |
| Google Analytics (gtag.js) | Site usage analytics — page views and which buttons get clicked. | |
| Microsoft Clarity | Microsoft | Session analytics (anonymised heatmaps/recordings) to understand how the site is used. |
You can withdraw this consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer — new tracking will stop immediately, though it can't un-send data already collected before you withdrew.
3. The app (app.awayclean.com)
The AwayClean web app does not use any marketing or analytics cookies. It uses only strictly necessary browser storage to keep you signed in (via Supabase Auth) and to remember which household you last had open. No advertising or analytics scripts run in the app.
4. Managing your choice
Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page on this site to reopen the banner and change your choice at any time.
