Terms of Use

By creating an account or using AwayClean (the website or the app), you agree to these terms. AwayClean is a small, independently run project — please read this carefully before connecting your robots.

1. The service

AwayClean is currently provided free of charge, during our launch period, "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

2. Unofficial Roborock integration

AwayClean lets you control your own Roborock robot vacuum by connecting to Roborock's cloud through an unofficial integration. AwayClean is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roborock, and "Roborock" is a trademark of its respective owner. Roborock may change, restrict or discontinue their service at any time, without notice to us, which may break AwayClean's functionality in whole or in part. We do not guarantee continued compatibility with Roborock's service.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must have the right to control and operate the robot(s) and Roborock account you connect to AwayClean.
• You are responsible for the presence automations and routines you configure — for example, making sure a cleaning cycle is never started in a way that could be unsafe (such as around pets, small children, fragile items, or an unsuitable floor area).
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and access to your email secure.
• If you are a household owner and add a person without an account (for example a partner, a child, a cleaner, or a spare phone), you confirm that you have that person's agreement — or, for a child, a parent's or guardian's agreement — to add them, and you are responsible for what you enter about them and for removing them when that agreement ends.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse AwayClean — including attempting to disrupt the service, access other users' data, reverse engineer the service beyond what is permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Account termination

You may stop using AwayClean and delete your data at any time from Settings → Delete my data in the app. We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used abusively, fraudulently, or in violation of these terms.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AwayClean and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, property damage, or injury arising from your use of the service, the connected robot, or any automation you configure.

7. Pricing

AwayClean is free while we launch. We may introduce pricing in the future. If we do, we will give advance notice, and existing users will be told before any charge applies to them.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let existing users know.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
